The Food Technologist is an exciting opportunity to be part of this journey, joining the Product and Buying team at our Milton Park offices.
Please note this role requires 3 days minimum in our offices.
Reporting to the Technical Manager you will provide support and ensure the compliance of all products supplied by Whittard in the UK and overseas. Responsibilities
- Collaborate with suppliers and the buying team to ensure full product compliance.
- Build strong relationships and work closely with UK and international teams to enhance understanding of market requirements.
- Partner with suppliers and food technologists to maintain accurate and up-to-date certifications and technical documentation.
- Provide support to stores by addressing product and technical queries.
- Prepare and complete product quality and technical documentation as required, such as HFSS scoring sheets and customer specifications/forms.
About You
- Degree in Food Science or a related subject.
- Experience in a similar Technologist or Technical Assistant role
- HACCP Level 2 certification is desirable.
- Experience in a retail food environment is a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- A team player, able to work remotely and manage your own workload independently
