Accounts Payable Assistant

The Accounts Payable Assistant is an exciting opportunity to be part of this journey join the Finance team at our Milton Park offices.
Reporting to the Accounts Payable Manager you will support the team delivering accurate, timely, and efficient transactional finance processes. Responsibilities
- Accurately process all invoices, expenses and payments, ensuring timely coding, filing and query resolution.
- Monitor and manage the Accounts Payable inbox and daily post.
- Complete supplier statement reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Support stock invoice processing and match invoices to receipts, resolving any issues.
- Assist with cash management, payment run preparation and maintaining audit‑ready filing systems.
- Contribute to a smooth-running finance function by supporting continuous improvement and collaborating with colleagues across the team.
About You
- Previous experience in an Accounts Payable or similar finance role.
- Strong attention to detail and accurate data processing skills.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
- Knowledge of accounting procedures (stock matching experience is a plus).
- A flexible, collaborative approach and willingness to support the team.
- Ability to learn quickly and retain information.
- AAT Level 3/4 is advantageous, but not essential.
